Making Honeycomb

The magic of candy is in the beauty that one thing (sugar, of course) can evolve into so many preciously delicious gems. Honeycomb is one of them.

How to make this golden treats is pretty simple. What do you need? Follow our lead!

650g sugar

350g glucose

1/2 cup water

20g honey

20g bicarbonate of soda


Dissolve the sugar with glucose and water in a large pan.

Boil to 140C.

Add the honey and boil to 155C.

Turn off the heat and sift the baking powder into your mixture and whisk for 20-30seconds until you get a golden brown colour.


Pour immediately onto cooling trays or tins and leave to cool.


Once the candy has cooled, you can break them into shards.
